Be good to see at least two of the promoted sides stay up again. Having the better players spread across more clubs makes for a more competitive league - at least from 5th to 20th anyway.

It literally feels like six months ago.

We start well, we look dangerous and we're creating chances. Then Downing begins to get involved and we're giving away the basic stuff. Then the oppo score a worldy and then we concede two of the softest penalties going in a matter of minutes. Agger needs a f*cking right hook for that piece of defending. Clearly more signings are needed, if that wasn't evidence enough Brendan, Stewart Downing will never ever be good enough for us, he is an utterly atrocious player.

Is it not a tad worrying that said opposition was a relegation candidate in most pundit's eyes?
