I dont know how it works whether or not they have to qualify or just get picked?

He was too low in the US rankings to qualify or even to take part in the public vote.

Quite surprised by the vote actually, would have thought Rodney Morris would have been a shoe in for the team, but the Hatchetman beat him by 6%.

Not a good session for the Europeans.

Still, they were in this predicament in 2007 in Vegas and reversed the score in the 2nd session to get it back to 5-5. Hopefully history can repeat itself tonight.

It was a brilliant comeback to beat Appleton, but to be fair, Appleton should have took him out at 5-2. Could have been a big plus for the Europeans, but as it is, the Yanks are closing in on victory.

9-5 with one session to go. All singles matches tonight with a possible team event at the end of it, dependant on how things go.

10-7 now, Europe pull another point back. Hohmann beats Archer 6-1.

Still in there. Next match is a repeat of the first match of the night. Souquet v Van Boening. Hopefully the same result will follow.

And that's where it all ended. I do like that van Boening kid. He's got something about him and clearly learned something from the beating Souquet gave him earlier in the session.
