winning like never before. decoys. mouse traps. chicken wings. lollie pops. shepperds. the crusher. grapples. big league. In 1935 The Dragon Slayers as they were known defeated Canterbury bulldogs 91-6, which is still the biggest win in the Club's History. In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. References were found at the time to district teams being called 'The Saints'.the perfect 11

 OLYMPIC superstar Michael Phelps could face criminal charges in the fallout from a photo showing the swimmer smoking from a marijuana pipe at a University of South Carolina house party.

A spokesman for Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott, who was known for his tough stance on drugs, said the department was investigating.

"Our narcotics division is reviewing the information that we have, and they're investigating what charges, if any, will be filed," said Lt. Chris Cowan, a spokesman for the agency.

 IAN Botham can't swim like Michael Phelps but he sure knows how it feels to be paddling for your life in a media-generated tsunami.

In the summer of 1986, the great English cricket allrounder admitted through his newspaper column that he sometimes smoked marijuana.

It was not a confession of choice. He was not cleansing his soul.

The only reason he wrote the column was the paper had him cold. It had statutory declarations from witnesses and was going to nail him if he didn't nail himself.

MICHAEL Phelps has been suspended from competition for three months by USA Swimming, the latest fallout from a photo that showed the Olympic great with a marijuana pipe.

USA Swimming also cut off its financial support to Phelps for the same three-month period, effective from Thursday.

Michael Phelps lucky to get light ban  OLYMPIC champion Libby Trickett said Michael Phelps is extremely lucky to escape with only a three-month ban from competition for smoking marijuana.

Phelps was yesterday handed the suspension and reprimanded by USA Swimming after a photo of him smoking the illicit drug was published in a British newspaper.

The sports governing body stressed the suspension wasn't for any anti-doping violation but wanted to send a strong message to Phelps.

But Trickett says the penalty is too lenient considering the three-month suspension won't see the Olympic star miss any major competition. He'll remain eligible to compete at the world championships in Rome in July.
