You have to wonder how it's got that far without any alarm bells ringing? Hasn't he has cancer previously or am I thinking of someone else?

Terrible news.

His Wales team-mate Andy Legg was diagnosed 4 years ago.

Heard him interviewed on the radio yesterday saying that he had offered JH his support.

Indeed he is now player manager at Llanelli and played the two matches against Motherwell in Europe.

Hopefully his recovery is an inspiration to John (and also another ex Swansea player Chris Todd who recovered from chronic myeloid leukaemia and got back in the league with Torquay).
