All the other top athletes competed in Delhi? The 100m was won by Lerome Clarke of Jamaica with Mark Lewis-Francis second. Must have missed them on the podium in London. Farrah was nowhere to be seen, despite winning the Europeans earlier in the season, Shelley-Ann Fraser-Pryce wasn't there, despite being World and Olympic champion. Also, she never cited security for not competing, it simply didn't fit in with her schedule, which she states in her book. Given they were in October, outside of the normal European season that sound feasible to me.
You are right she pulled out of the hurdles, saying she was done in after the heptathlon. In doing so she cost nobody a place, as there was only one other British athlete who had done the qualifying time and was eligible to enter.
As for this year's winner I'd agree with you and give it to Wiggins, followed by Farah and then Ennis.
