I cant remember that many clear cut chances for either team to be honest.
Kelly shaved the post in the first half with a very easy chance, Carroll did as well in the second after being played in by Suarez, Suarez himself fluffed a one on one with Howard where he tried to hit it with the outside of his right foot.
As you mentioned Everton were truly awful. But it's what happens when you start Victor Anichebe, Seamus Coleman, Denis Stracqualursi, Tony Hibbert etc. Everton went to not concede, there was no intent to score or try to win the game. His bright idea was working hard, running around a lot and holding Liverpool to a 0-0. Liverpool are not a great side and with Carragher playing are very open and their midfield has no balance.
It really winds me up how willing to accept it we were. There was no urgency to get back into the game and bar Baines and Drenthe when he came on, there was no passion to win the game. If you are going with the mentality Moyes chose, you've got to be ultra-committed and pressure the opposition into making mistakes. Instead his negativity just meant Liverpool could commit Enrique and Kelly forward with little fear of us breaking.
