Cricket match fixing : Thu Nov 03, 2011 7:33 pm
Reading today's reports of the case it seems like the NOTW trap is just the tip of the iceberg. Apparently the agent's lawyer claimed that Asif was going to get the biggest cut of the NOTW money to stop him from "defecting" to another syndicate within the team!I think the cricket authorities have been incredibly complacent over the years dealing with betting scandals, going right back to when Lillee and Marsh got away with a ticking off in 1981. And now if they do crack down they leave themselves open to accusataions of anti Pakistan bias.
