Even if Murray had beaten Nadal, the way Djokovic wiped the floor with him today Murray would have been lucky to win a few games.5 wins in a row for Novac against Nadal. Now we have Federer not able to beat Nadal,Nadal not able to beat Djokovic and Murray not able to beat any of the other 3
Feel a bit sorry for Murray....After the last of this year's Grand Slams, I think its fair to say that the above situation is about right.
The frustrating thing is that Murray is pretty much head and shoulders above those below him....His record of 1 final and 3 semi final appearances in this year's Slam's are an indication that but for the presence of 2 top class players such as Djokovic and Nadal (and that's in any era), Murray would be building a decent record of his own.
I'm not sure of the answer for Murray...Unless he has a dramatic Djokovic-style improvement in him in the next 12-18 months, then it looks like Murray may be set for a career of playing the eternal semi finalist, or whipping boy finalist, when one of the big hitters has an off day and fails to make the final.
