We need to go into this one with the right mindset after Hudds win last night. Just one point in front of them now. I'm sure we will after our slip last week. We also need to build momentum going into the play offs. Looking for a big confidence building win tonight.

Wow ! Zero comments on last nights game

Here’s my take on the game

We scored some really nice try’s and scored fifty odd points but we made far too many errors against a poor but enthusiastic Toulouse team. If we make that many errors next week , we lose .
The lads will be up for it though I’m sure and the atmosphere will obviously be much better.
I reckon the Hull KR game three days later is more important than the derby

That's the problem with loop fixtures - particularly uninspiring loop fixtures that we just saw a month ago. Nothing to get excited about with last night's game - it was just there. The least they can try and do if we need loop fixtures is to space them out. We got the two points and that's about it.

We need to win 2 out of the last 3 to get 2nd - maybe just 1 if Huddersfield slip up (they have Leeds away on Wednesday).

On a side note I really hope there's some sort of plan in place to bring in respectable crowds for the playoffs this time around, particularly if two of them are on Channel 4. It's a yearly embarrassment for the game that the most important games are watched by the lowest crowds.

Difficult to know what to say about it really. We were clearly in a different league (in all probability literally come next season) to them so we didn't need to get out of 2nd gear. Some excellent tries scored nonetheless. The intensity wasn't there in the game to do much more than the thoroughly professional job we did. 2 points and on to next week...

I was entertained. Call me crazy, but I think that's one of the most important factors. I think it's really poor that the play-off games historically haven't had bigger crowds, but I blame the fans, not the club.

To be honest its been worryingly sparse this season anyway.

It has been sparse at times but I don't think it's been a disaster considering the worst Wigan SL season ever in 2021 along with the likely impact of Covid.

Hopefully there will be a season ticket boost off the back of a more successful and entertaining year along with some of the great community work the club has been doing. But the cost of living crisis won't make it easy. Its also terrible timing for the World Cup.

Plus the cost to attend games what the rfl are charging.
