Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.

Signed for Huddersfield for next year, I thought he did good for a young lad in his short time at Canberra didnt look out of place.

We should have signed him, any reason why our young lads are choosing other clubs over us?

With KKP going, Isa can't far behind and Partington poss moving surely there will be chances for young forwards?

I'm guessing the money being offered elsewhere is better as most clubs don't have the production line we have. I think with Rushton and Co. it's also a case of there being few opportunities right now so a move away is more likely to result in first team rugby.

Maybe someone on here can offer a different opinion to me but having seem him play his junior rugby at Shevvy he was never that much of a stand out player. Obviously Wigan saw something in him at scholarship level, but left before getting much time in the reserves or first team.

When he got signed up I was talking to a couple of coaches from a local rival team and they were also surprised, their view was decent but not standout.

Willing to be converted. That said hope he has a great career.

There's loads of junior players who look world beaters in the North West Counties and do County & National teams from a young age who never end up anywhere near a first team debut. I'd go as far as saying it isn't always the players who look best/stand out through the academies that make the best first team players. Look at the likes of Kibula, Borough, Hampshire...and I'm sure more of you who watch more of our non-first team rugby can reel off a good few others.

I think he will be a solid pro, a solid reliable big forward and he should have signed him. McDonnell, Nicolson and Rushton all good forwards who should be at Wigan still.

Agreed, far to often and we have all done it I’m sure, see a young lad who you think will an absolute star when it comes to pass they never reach the heights,it’ll be interesting to see with Rushton how he goes.
