Another season of Smith in the halves will give me nightmares. Farrell and Bateman have been really poor for so long. Hastings offered absolutely nothing for most of the season. Our 9 is slower than James Roby who is about 45.

Hastings clearly playing bust this last few weeks.
I need to see who will be coaching that shower next season before I buy any season tickets for me and my lads . If Matty Peet gets the job we definitely won’t be going. It will just be more of the same. It needs some fresh ideas around the place
Like a few others, I think, I find it hard to criticise Hastings too much, he has tried to carry this team on his own for too long. I certainly wish him well, and think he has been a great servant to the club. As fir the rest of them, after this dismal effort, who knows? Ordinary as Leeds were, as I said to a friend in the pub later, I'm damn sure Agar said to his team at half-time, don't worry, these guys are never going to score a try against you in a month of Sundays, just be patient, and the score will come. And so it proved.

I’m not sure the score would’ve come for Leeds had we picked a guy on the wing who can catch a high ball. If only we had one, one who has been playing week in week out for the last 6 weeks, one who has probably looked the safest catcher of a high ball I’ve seen come through since Rads, one who has been getting better and better but we mustn’t have one fitting that description and instead had to play a second rower at centre and move a lad who has been playing very well at centre on to the wing.
I’m not sure it made much difference but Lam refuses to help himself sometimes. It was a very very fitting way for him to finish his time here. He really should’ve ensured he had a full pack of juniors on at the end just to give him a cheap thrill before the off but I think he was a couple short.
I assume you;re talking about Halsall, NK, and I don't disagree at all. But at half-time, I didn;t think we'd score, and I fully expected Leeds to. Can you honesty say you felt any different?

Oh no, not at all. We wouldn’t have scored had we still been playing now with the lights off and the Leeds players tucked up in bed. I just don’t understand how Halsall doesn’t play tonight. He is absolutely unbelievable taking those high balls and it gave Leeds a way in as soon as he left him out. Lam is an absolute moron. Happy to have 6 junior forwards in his 17 and to move a second rower to centre to fit one more in but not happy to place trust in a young outside back, who has shown himself to be as trustworthy as they come. He’s been happy to flog Harry Smith all season, even though he’s clearly dying on his backside but drops a kid who looks ice cool under pressure and would’ve been playing on a less pressurised position.
