Seems enough fan discontent can drive some action at least.

Fair play to Rads & IL for putting this on, they could easily have not done this. You would imagine that certain announcements will take place prior to this event to alleviate some pressure on them.

Unfortunately judging from other such events I'm anticipating more like the following:

- Short presentation, possibly confirmation that there will be a new coach in 2022/maybe even announcing that it's Peet. Some acknowledgement of our slump in form, mainly blamed on COVID disruption. Pointing out that we've continued to develop youngsters and tie some of them down to new contracts.
- A couple of questions that were literally just answered in the presentation.
- A Riversider waffling on about his great times watching the club/general praise for the club with no question at the end of it.
- Some sort of question about the relationship with Latics which will get the same response as usual (mutually beneficial, they can't kick us out and wouldn't want to).
- How many wheetabix can Clubb eat?

Job done without anyone laying a glove on them. Hope I'm wrong but empty vessels really do seem to make the loudest noises on these things which can eat up a lot of the available time.

The best piece of news to come out of the club in a long time.

Yes hopefully you right in that there will be some announcements preceding the forum. For me even if it’s some bad news mixed hopefully with good news at least the fans are being updated.

I’ve never been to one of these and unfortunately can’t make next week either but hopefully there will be some challenging questions together with open and honest responses. Ideally I’d like to see this on Wigan tv preferably unedited.

I’m not in the IL camp that says he can’t do anything wrong but I’m of the opinion that he generally gets a lot of things right and god only knows where we would be today if he hadn’t bought the club all those years ago.

Great and massive step in the right direction.

I just hope that it isn't wasted on moronic questions.

Now, everyone has a right to ask what they want, but... there will be a finite time and finite number of questions that can be asked. There's plenty that needs answering and I hope time is spent on topics like the stadium arrangements, coaching & culture Vs the fit of the home shirts, or what KR had for his tea.

My first thought was by ek, they’re brave. That was followed by intrigue as to what will be announced before or at the forum.

I hope that you are wrong but from what I’ve read on here previously and your response it could be a possibility however, I genuinely believe that as a club we really are at a major crossroads in the history of the club and that he agenda/topics will reflect this.

I did think that they may invite some fans who they trust to ask pertinent questions to reduce the possibility of inane questioning. Not “plants” for any easy ride but people who they know will ask challenging questions. I’d like to think Jukes and NickyKiss would be great invitees at such an event. Passionate fans but with a strong pragmatic approach.
If I was IL I’d like to be really challenged and hear exactly what fans are thinking

Fair play for them for fronting up.

I’d like to know -

Stadium situation with the new owners

Why wasn’t George Williams re-signed, why did he not want to come back to Wigan

Is the full salary cap being spent

What is Danson’s role at the club

Financial position of the club

How long does IL think he’ll be active as the chairman

Do they both understand how difficult it has been being a Wigan fan the last few years?
