Just watched the game now I’m back home, struggled to remember us having a play the ball in the opposition 10m area and apparently it’s the first time at the stadium that we’ve failed to score a try.

Sculthorpe absolutely crucified us both with his observations and then backed up with the stats about our lack of points in halves and games. I don’t think I’ve ever watched an after match review with my head in my hands because of how cutting the comments were. We are a shambles. 7 of our last 12 games have involved us not scoring in a half and 8,6 and 6 points in the second half. This is as far as we should be falling now and from reading comments and listening at the game tonight, the club is going to get hammered in the pocket if Lam stays for the rest of the season.

I’ll end on this:
Carney: I was asking you to decipher a game plan for the Wigan Warriors and you couldn’t come up with one?
Sculthorpe: We said watching it, it looks like a group of mates who’ve gone out on the field and decided to have a game.

Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.

Most accurate comment was in regards Partington.

Never in the month of man is he a player who has the potential to play in a team capable of consistently competing for trophies.

Smith also falls into that bracket.

Byrne and Shorroks also have a lot to prove.

I still want to see Smith behind a pack.

In the first half we made less than 30 yards in a set. Hastings kicked. Coote took the ball further upfield than we finished.

No half can play behind that pack. Similarly, a 9 can't run from dummy half when you never win a ruck.

Scully was spot on and even Phil Clarke has been for months. Mustn't have sky at Casa Lenegan.

He was measured and respectful in the criticism of the younger lads. You could see he wants to say they aren’t good enough but probably mindful of the impact if he was too direct. I still don’t think I’ve ever seen a tearing apart of a club philosophy (or lack of) as that tonight. I usually take or leave the analysis as they’re usually a bit bland. No hiding from this one is there? Inaction from Lenagan this week will tell me all I need to know about his future plans and even then, his continued silence has done enough this year to lose my trust in his stewardship.

It's a shame after what he has done for us as a club that this COULD define his legacy

The lad got absolutely owned by a lad far less hyped.

He made 1 maybe 2 good passes all night.

Towards the end he had a simple basic pass to make to Hastings…he threw it on the floor.

If anybody needs a new coach it’s him.

At the moment he is contributing nothing to the team. On current form I can’t think of a worse half in SL.

Dodd is less hyped? Do you watch sky? He's better than Joey Johns apparently.

Who, BTW, would struggle behind our pack.

John’s regularly played behind packs who were on the back foot particularly in Origin and still excelled.

Dodd is 19 played a handful of games in the halves and still managed to show more potential than Smith.

Smith has a big mistake/game ratio, and literally isn’t involved in most matches.

I’m not saying he lacks potential he must have something and maybe with a go forward pack he would be better, however his lack of involvement, interest or fight even in losing efforts is concerning.

He’s lost in this team when everything has to go through Hastings because he’s hiding. He won’t be the first young lad to hit a dead end when it comes to playing a man’s game. It’s his lack of doing anything when all the cards aren’t in his favour that is the most worrying aspect of someone who has a four year deal.

Completely agree.

It’s the acceptance of the situation from him that is issue.
