I'm trying to think what previous Partington has. I remember him being binned for fighting (v Huddersfield if memory serves) but that was a few years ago and I'm not sure whether he even got banned for it. He's had a more recent ban for a dangerous tackle but I'm not sure they will deem that relevant. Hard to know with the disciplinary panel though they do seem to be a law unto themselves.

Hope everyone enjoyed their “Biff”

Singleton will miss Saints game.

In a weird way a break might do Partington some good. Played a lot of minutes. Should be refreshed.

I hope in the month off Singleton can improve his physique, he looks like a league one prop not a starting prop for a top SL team. No way is he doing everything he can to improve his game. Saying that I was hoping the same for Clubb during his ban.

At least we have cover for prop, with Clubb, Havard and Bullock all available.

I understand that the RFL want to clamp down on punching to the bans are broadly as expected though I thought Butler should have got more. In his case it wasn’t a face to face fight, it was punching a player from behind who wasn’t in a position to defend himself.

Scandalous really that he got only the same as Partington and especially Ashworth. It’s just so cowardly and uncalled for and given he didn’t even get ten minutes and Singleton sat out the full game, he should’ve been done for 3 or 4 games.
