We really need to win this one. Suspensions and injuries may play a part. Personally I would like to see players being played in their preferred positions but it is not likely to happen. Do we hurry more injured players back or give them more time? Do we give the youngsters more game time?
Well, we can confidently expect to be without Singleton and Partington, so we're going to be light in the pack.
Bateman was even more a shadow of himself yesterday than he was on his return from Canberra. In his case, I'm sure it's just a matter of time, but we can't expect it to happen in time for Friday.
Time for Clark and Bullock to really step up and be counted, perhaps?.
Not sure what the story is with Gildart. Not that you notice his absence much these days, but it would be nice not to have play second rows in the centre, especially when we need maximum grunt up front.
Sounds like Leuluai has torn his hamstring. This is either going to force Lam to put Powell at HB and play O’Neil and Borough or Hastings to HB and Hanley to FB. Personally would prefer the latter.
Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Most idiotic post ever goes to Grimmy..... The way to restart should be an arm wrestle between a designated player from each side.

Given that Shorrocks, and later Powell, went to halfback yesterday rather than Hastings going there, I think it's fairly likely we'll see Powell in the halves, Hastings at FB and Hanley out wide.
Shorrocks did a pretty good job I felt and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he starts at stand off. Wherever he plays, the lad is really coming in to his own now. His versatility will be really handy for him in keeping a place, although long term you’d love to see him settle somewhere. Some players are just natural talents and he looks like that. He might not be the biggest, strongest, fastest etc but he looks to have the brain and the natural ability to work out a way of succeeding.

Him going over for his try and brushing his flop of hair back when getting up was so Simon Houghton.
Not bashing Powell but he seemed miles off again yesterday, the Leigh player just walked right through him for their try, if anyone needs to recharge their batteries it's him. Hardaker potentially coming back would give us options

Totally disagree on Bateman there. Seeing him in the flesh again, he was much lighter on his feet and had much better movement. Was sat near the dugout and it’s clear they were managing his minutes.
Batemans stats on the superleague site say he made 2 carries for 18 metres and zero tackles. That can’t be right surely? I can think of 4 times he carried the ball off the top of my head.
I thought he looked really good in the middle and caused them problems each time he touched the ball (which was more than twice).
