Granted Leigh are exceptionally poor but we nearly lost the other two against you this season with arguably a stronger side. We’re minus French, Marshall, Hardaker, Field, Manfredi and Gildart who all would probably get in our first choice backline and Leuluai goes off after 20 minutes, so when we’ve not been able to score points for love nor money, it’s not surprising we’re happy with 50, even if it is against Leigh.

Do us a favour, when we play each other again, let us know in advance what score let’s us discuss and even praise our performance.

It's good to know that Wigan winning nothing this season, which will happen, will compensate you for Leigh being relegated and then finding themselves outside of the game's new-look upper tier for evermore ... which also will happen.

Smith is the best young Scrum Half that the club has produce from the Academy for many years and would be even better if he was playing behind a pack with better experienced quality Prop Forwards than what we have at present.

No wonder Clubb is having to play even if it is for limited periods.

Dodds like Farges before him will not have the same problem with St Helens.
