I think they are a worthwhile effort; a lot of NRL sides do it regularly. But of course you have the kick somewhere near. Lately that has apparently seemed too difficult for England and Queensland both.

Jake Mamo is 5' 10". If two defenders can't win the ball against him...

Just very very dum.

You have 6’5” second row on the field and you put the high short drop out to 2 of the smallest players on the pitch.

Who still should have done a much better job, but yes, you're right, of course.

Not sure why all the players moved up together in one flat line for the drop out, it was only ever going to go to one of them, those around the ball needed to hang back and either wait for the knock back, or to tidy up if we lost possession, non of our players did either

Leeds (Sinfield) was very successful at regaining possession. Hard diagonal kick along the floor resulting in the ball either fumbled or going into touch.

But of course anything out of the ordinary is way above us.

IMO they have a time and a place.
It wasn't so much the short drop out, but the fact we went for it with 20 pts down and 4 mins left!! If there had been 4-8 pts in it I might have understood....but it was pointless. At that point it should have been damage limitation rather than desperately chasing the ball!!

Worst still, after conceding the try we still went short at the kick off  and nearly conceded another try but for the ref pulling it up.....As they say, once is a mistake, twice is stupidity.....Hadn't learned from taking unnecessary and pointless risks only two mins earlier.

That passage of play summed up the game for me.....We beat ourselves more than wire beating us!

Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.

Any chance you could let us know in advance when you intend beating yourselves, it would avoid any unnecessary running, tackling etc and we can save ourselves for the next game. (Translation = don’t talk such bl**dy rubbish).

Well, each of Mamo's three tries were literally a gift from Wigan, for a start.
