It will be the first chance for Wigan fans to attend a game in person within the UK since their visit to the AJ Bell Stadium last March, just before the first lockdown. Since then they have played in the UK behind closed doors, until last Monday's game at Leigh which had a small home crowd.

After an astounding 435 days since that equivalent fixture – the last time that either set of fans were legitimately able to set foot inside a rugby stadium – the Red Devils have now been able to allocate 400 tickets to Warriors fans as part of their general sale period, having provided initial priority on the limited capacity to their season ticket holders.

All the tickets for Saturday’s 1pm kick-off are available exclusively from Salford’s online ticketing site here, with no tickets available from any Wigan Warriors outlet.

The DW Stadium ticket office remains closed and Wigan can not deal with any queries. Once on the Salford's online ticketing service, customers will need to create an account, and then click on Match Tickets and select the game. They should choose North Stand (unless elevated wheelchair space is needed, in the East Stand) and the number of tickets, up to a maximum of six.

Tickets will be sent via email and fans will have to either print at home or add them to their Google or Apple Wallet, and bring ID showing name and date of birth.

If you are having difficulty in doing this, please email ticketoffice@ajbellstadium.co.uk for guidance and note that you’re trying to purchase away end tickets. You can also call 0161 786 1570 and choose option 1 for tickets.

There will be no kiosks open at the stadium and fans do not need to have a test before going.

I’ve just got 4 for the Wigan end after having no luck at all yesterday, so if anybody needs tickets keep trying.

I know this might be a stupid question, but I guess this means it won't be on the our league app?

i'm sure i read that this was the discretion of the home club

Leigh have taken the decision not to show the game v Hudds (they werent even going to show the Wigan game after Wigan moved to allow them fans in), so its basically down to the owner as i am assuming there will be a cost to show the game

Can anyone recommend suitable place for parking other than the official car park at the ground?
"Games as big as a grand finals define individuals and clubs. Remember we are only renting these shirts, I had my time in Pat Richards shirt. Ellery and Faz had there time in Sean's, Hampo and Radders in Sam's. You have to make a mark in these shirts that's still there the day you hand it over to someone else. So be aware for 80 minutes you are not only playing but also writing history and creating a legacy. How many people get to actually write history, not many. A big stage demands big players, be inspired. You play for Wigan, now go do it. Good luck." - Martin Offiah, 2010.

Not been there for ages but apparently there's a road under Barton bridge now connecting the ground to the Trafford Centre, if you don't mind a bit of a walk you could park there
