Just had an e-mail from Huddersfield Giants.

"Huddersfield Giants fans are being offered the opportunity to get behind the lads at a stadium for the first time in over a year. The Giants face Leigh Centurions in the Betfred Super League round 7 fixture and Giants fans will be welcome to attend the match at Leigh Sports Village on Sunday 23rd May whilst observing social distancing restrictions, 3:00 pm kick off.

Fans are advised that the game will NOT be live streamed on the OuRLeague facility so if you do wish to watch the game buy your ticket now."
Why couldn't they have done this for the Wigan game?

I think we all know the answer to this.

Parochial petulance, plus terror that their loyal fanbase won't bother to turn up if the opposition isn't Wigan.

I know our owner is being a bit of a ****. It appears that all 4 sides of the ground are now being used, and with a capacity of 4K. Due to numerous reasons (expensive tix, poor team, got used to not attending games, covid protocol etc) we are obviously struggling to sell tickets. No need to block OurLeague coverage, just for the sake of selling less than a 100 tickets .I'm not attending the game, I've got into the habit of when we're getting stuffed, I take the dogs out for a walk.

I'm a Leigh fan and I refuse to pay £30 to watch Leigh at the moment. My friend messaged me the other day asking me to go and now he isn't going because he doesn't want to go alone. Thats £40 lost if the tickets had been £20 each. The club seems to have go into a 'if you haven't got a season ticket then your a 2nd class fan'.

Attendance - 2008.

Embarrassing that even between both sets of fans, they couldnt manage the 25% capacity.
