Seems like a lot of people on Twitter, Facebook etc are being a bit too harsh on our young forwards. It’s all a learning curve for them and although they aren’t bossing other packs now I’m confident when they mature they will be. They’re not a million miles away.
Most props don’t mature until mid- late twenties. Look at Luke Thompson at saints - he was nothing special when he first came into the saints squad for his first couple of seasons and then started to progress after experience. We’ve not just got one young player coming through we’ve got a whole pack full. Long term they’ll benefit from all the first team exposure.
Yes a big barnstorming prop would be a nice addition but to put it into perspective were joint top of the league with a young pack who will get better - I’ll take that all day long

The stick Liam Byrne has had on various platforms after last week has been embarrassing. Comments tonight when the team was named about what a joke it was that he was in. He had a really bad day last Saturday but it was on the back of having plenty of very good ones this season and he was far from being on his own. I thought he was excellent tonight and it took some guts to bounce back from last week.
Guys like Havard and Byrne just need a little more support though. They’re doing a fine job but again tonight I feel we’re asking too much of them. They’re having to turn the tide all the time because we start so slow.
