I still say you can't tell unless you freeze it right on his foot. There was a try in the NRL at the weekend (can't remember who), very similar, and I thought, that's offside surely. I re-wound and replayed it 3 or 4 times before I managed to freeze the ball on his foot, and sure enough, he was level.

I guess this comes back to the point about having -proper' cameras at every game.

I froze it before it hit his foot earlier and he was just in front even at that point.

It matters little now but he was offside without any shadow of a doubt for me.

You're right. Players never end up supporting clubs they have played for above who they supported as a kid especially when that club rejected them or treated them like s***. That never happens.

The one last night wasn’t a break and the TJs had enough scope to see the offside player. What’s your point? That TJs make glaring mistakes? In which case I agree.

Apologies, I couldn't watch the game last night due to other rugby commitments. Mistakenly watched the highlights from earlier in the season.

I've seen the right one now, agree that he is offside. It's still a lot easier judging a freeze frame than running around continuously making split second decisions. There is a lot to watch on kicks in particular.
