Seems like a lot of people on Twitter, Facebook etc are being a bit too harsh on our young forwards. It’s all a learning curve for them and although they aren’t bossing other packs now I’m confident when they mature they will be. They’re not a million miles away.

Most props don’t mature until mid- late twenties. Look at Luke Thompson at saints - he was nothing special when he first came into the saints squad for his first couple of seasons and then started to progress after experience. We’ve not just got one young player coming through we’ve got a whole pack full. Long term they’ll benefit from all the first team exposure.

Yes a big barnstorming prop would be a nice addition but to put it into perspective were joint top of the league with a young pack who will get better - I’ll take that all day long

The stick Liam Byrne has had on various platforms after last week has been embarrassing. Comments tonight when the team was named about what a joke it was that he was in. He had a really bad day last Saturday but it was on the back of having plenty of very good ones this season and he was far from being on his own. I thought he was excellent tonight and it took some guts to bounce back from last week.

Guys like Havard and Byrne just need a little more support though. They’re doing a fine job but again tonight I feel we’re asking too much of them. They’re having to turn the tide all the time because we start so slow.

I thought Byrne was excellent tonight too. Reminds me a lot of a Ryan Sutton coming through. He’s got bags of potential but still has a silly knock on in him. If he can get that out of his game like Sutton has done over time I think he’ll be a great prop.

I personally don’t think he’s gone off the boil. Just as a team we aren’t firing on all cylinders. Once we are collectively, I can’t see who would beat us.

Singleton and Partington are too similar for me. They’re both full of aggression and looking to put big shots on but neither make a lot of ground and I think their spells on the field shouldn’t overlap. I’d like to see Bullock or Havard start alongside Singleton and Partington to then add energy from the bench.

It's a pity that Leigh supporters didn't bother to turn up tonight. Around 1,600 I believe.

I know, around 1700 according to BBC GMR. I have been a ST holder since my first one cost a £1, but with the covid stadia restrictions and the fact that we probably won't win a game, I was content just to listen to us lose on the radio. Also with our lovely owner behaving like some Cuban dictator, right now I'm not too bothered with the fact we'll be back in the championship next season. Sounded like Wigan weren't at their best tonight, but 2nd half you didn't give us a 'a sniff' when it mattered, only near the end did we get near your try line. Not too many teams are 'firing on all cylinders' at the moment, but you are doing much better than big spending Warrington are.

One of the TJs was Warren Turley, Younger brother of Leigh legend Neil.
