I don't think the league is pants (well, not all of it), and it bugs me a bit when people talk as if it's just us and Saints. Saints aren't all that this season, and there's a few sides that will be in the reckoning.

Get that Wane bloke back in, he seemed to know what he was doing. Lenagan should be at his door begging him to come back IMO.

I think that ships sailed mate. He and we have both moved on, for better or for worse.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

The lack of size and go forward in your pack really showed today imo. Last week you were able to have success by putting some width on the ball. Today wasn't the conditions for that and Hull knew that they had the measure of you in an arm wrestle. It was a very simple and patient gameplan from us and the final score probably doesn't quite tell the whole story of our dominance. It wasn't even a particularly big Hull pack either. Hodgson put all of his big men on at the start, but even amongst those only Satae is the real man mountain. The pack was as small as it gets with Brown, Cator, Johnstone and Wynne.

In good conditions when you can put some air on the ball you are a very good side indeed. But in the wet when you have to roll your sleeves up you just don't have the players imo, and that's something Lam needs to address.

Granted you made a number of unforced and uncharacteristic errors which didn't help your cause, but even without a couple of helping hands I always thought we had the measure of you.

Hull were head and shoulders above Wigan today and I agree, the score line flattered us. However, the biggest difference, in my view, was your line speed when defending, you smothered us to death whereas we allowed easy gains. Good luck in the semi-final.

That was always one of the big issues we had for years since Peter Sharp left. Our line speed both in attack and defence was always so laboured with no real intent so we very rarely won the collision. We had purple patches when the intensity was up such as the CC games but invariably just too inconsistent.
It’s the little things that under BH are been changed and dealt with that we are already seeing big differences in. I know it’s still very early days but as a long suffering Hull fan I can’t honestly remember a time before this season where we have been consistent and staying in games. Last season we’d probably have been 2 wins & 3 losses at best out the first games and out the cup.

Time that some of you stopped blaming Lam and faced the fact that we have too many young inexperience and inconsistent lightweight forwards and you cannot blame Lam for players knocking on, failing to catch high balls, kicking out on the full and not having a good goalkeeper.

The people to blame are those running the club. When Lenagan first bought the club, he was like a breath of fresh air after the ownership of Whelan but now the squad is not the right blend of experienced top class players and the younger players like it was in previous seasons.

No matter who is the Coach, you cannot make a silk purse out of a as sow's ear and that what now exists at the club and might explain the why Wane threw in the towel and Edwards declined a return to the club.

No doubt the usual handful or so of the 'click' who think Lenagan and Radlinski are never wrong in their judgements will continue to wear the blinkers!

What does a goalkeeper have to do with anything?

It's time we stopped isolating blame to either the players or coaches, rather than saying it's not one of them. Then can BOTH be to blame, at the same time.

Thats our problem the lads need some more experienced with them having Isa and Farrell move to centres weakened the pack .Why on earth did Lam not start with Bullock and Singleton as starting props beggars belief .We had no forwards who run the ball out and dont make any metres .
