I'm hearing Griffin won't play, in which case there's every chance that Scott will start at centre. The other option would be putting Fonua at centre and giving our new Fijian winger a debut.

Big blow if Griffin doesn’t play. He’s a solid centre

He's been very good for a while for us now. Always makes big metres and is a real handful. I'm biased of course but in him and Tuimavave we have two of the best centres in SL.

Can’t disagree with that.

I rate Tuimavave highly think he’s a great player.

Griffin makes big meters prone to the odd daft error but can be very dangerous close to the line.

Tomorrow will be a big indication of where both teams are this year.

I'm not sure with that statement. With both sides missing players, I think it's more about who can maintain some momentum. I think we will be better long term than what we will be tonight

I’m looking for an increased workload from Clubb this week. He made 3 quality carries last week and I think he’s capable of maybe getting up to 4 this week. I’m not setting overly ambitious targets like 5 carries but who knows, if we take a bit of strain off him in defence and don’t make him get through a whopping 16 tackles again, he may just be capable of it.

I just laugh now when I see Clubb is starting. Adrian Lam must have really wronged him to give him a starting berth. I wouldn’t start him at Wigan Bulldogs to be totally honest.

I’m starting to wonder if it’s a message from Lam to Lenagan/Rads to say if we don’t sign a prop then we’re left with this, a starting prop making 3 carries.

It’s that or the incriminating photos of Lam that Clubby must have in his possession because it’s not form.

Griffin prone to the odd daft error and also cant tackle.
His defence is very poor and highlighted when playing against any opponent with pace and good footwork

Phil Wilkinson seems to think he played well v Cas. 3 carries and 32mtrs says different.

I just don’t think Lam is strong enough to drop a senior player, as Clubb deservedly is on past service. That’s the only logical explanation for me. Honestly the starting prop at most amateur teams in Wigan would be more beneficial to the side.

Anyway; I still expect a win here. I think it’ll be fairly nip and tuck to be honest. Hull are turning into a decent side and will want the Wigan scalp to prove it. The talent is in that team to walk away with the win though
