I'm not saying that Madge was crap, Just that he had all the hard work done for him by Nobby and no, Nobby took us as far he could, But ask yourself this question, Could Madge have done the same if he had come over in 2006

You said without Noble then Madge would have been same level as Eric Hughes. Thats just a ludicrous comment to be fair, would you admit you got that wrong?

Moving Sam to fullback was Maguire's biggest masterstroke.

I still think we win it with him at 6 and Roberts at 1.

No, Madge wouldn't have had the career he had without the leg up from Nobbys Team

I suspect your going to run with this ridiculous analogy longer than anyone else will care to humour you.

But yeah, he only did whqtvhe did because of Noble

Graeme lowe, rubbish, he only did what he did because of Clarke/Mccinnes good work
Justin Holbrook, nothing without Kieron cunninghams hard work
I could go on, but you'll get the point even though you won't admit it

I mean even John monies 2nd spell in 98 wa sonly so good because of what Eric Hughes did the year before.
Nobby wasn't that far away, would he have won a SL With us, well never know
But to claim Maguire wouldn't have had a career without Nobles help is ridiculous

Souths had lost more games than they'd won in each of the last 11 seasons
They immediately finished 3rd then 2nd, then won the GF in his 3rd season and over those 3 seasons he won 2/3rds of his games

But yeah, he wouldn't have done that without John lang etc.

We all know it was Maurice Bamford who really got the ball rolling for us. Without Maurice we wouldn't have had Alex Murphy, without Murphy....... and so on!
