I agree with the premise of us trying to win the game up the middle but asking kids to defend Tupou and Lyne is asking for trouble IMO. Those two do well against even established SL players.

You’re probably right in fairness. I’m just trying to think of a workaround to keep Bateman in the pack. We dominate there and Tupou/Lyne shouldn’t get space nor delivery to cause too many issues. For it we need to tough it out in the pack and we’ll win the game.

I’d imagine you’re probably closer to the starting line up than me TBH.

But over 80 mins Tupou and Lyne will get space. Tom Johnstone doesn't need space to do his best and we've got to cater for that.
Squad selection will be crucial so Lam simply has to get it right, poor sod!

Most idiotic post ever goes to Grimmy..... The way to restart should be an arm wrestle between a designated player from each side.

I picked what I wanted tbh rather than what I think will happen. It'll be the team that finished last week bar Hastings starting and probably Smith benched.

Leeds dominated Trinity in the pack, absolutely dominated them.

They still did all the damage out wide.

More of a concern is their pack will be fired up after getting so badly beaten up by Leeds. Tanginoa was very quiet so I expect him to be looking for a big performance.
When he clicks, Trinity click.

Tough game this at a bad time.

Styles make fights, Trinity are all wrong for us with our problems at the moment.

Will be a very good win this if we get it.

I'm struggling to understand how we have so many injuries when players havent played since last November, and how French & Hastings werent back in time to start a season which has already been delayed by a couple of weeks.

Fair enough - I didn’t watch that game so I wouldn’t have known

Same here, though Gildart should be back soon given his “leg injury” he got before the Salford friendly was only supposed to keep him out for 1/2 weeks (unless I’ve missed something). Marshall’s is a long term injury being ACL so I wouldn’t expect him back anytime soon and Manfredi has a thumb injury keeping him out. Gildart and Manfredi are the most likely to be back soon and that will alleviate or go a long way to doing so, our injury concerns. The good thing about it is that it’s the beginning of the season where it’s important to get results, but not the be all and end all.

Because players don't just get injured in matches?
