56/57 mins until Bullock came on.
Instead of bringing him on we stuck with Liam Byrne and his multiple knock ons.
It was clear Byrne was having a nightmare game after 10 minutes. Generally this season Lam has made some good decisions but if someone is having a shocker - even if it goes against the game plan - you have to take them off for the good of the team.
Can't understand why Bullock is only getting 5 minutes but it's probably worth remembering that when he's played longer minutes this year he's generally been very disappointing. He's only really made an impact when playing 5-10 minutes late in games. Not good enough.
Byrne has been okay so far this year but we know he's got those errors and poor decisions in him. He's not good enough to be a key prop forward for a top Super League side. That's not knocking him. It's a role that you expect experienced props to hold, not props in their early 20's that still have a lot to work on. When you consider Partington and Havard are two of our other key middles it's just blatantly obvious that we rely too much on the younger players who generally put in decent performances and we're getting very little from Singleton, Bullock and Clubb.
Meanwhile I can only assume Ben Kilner has run over Lam's cat and Mitch Clark danced on it's grave because to not give them a chance to break into a poor front row is puzzling.
