Nope, everyone apart from Lam knew what would happen.

I'm probably wrong, but how long was it before we saw Bullock? Getting bullied and keeping the biggest guy we've got on the bench.

56/57 mins until Bullock came on.

Instead of bringing him on we stuck with Liam Byrne and his multiple knock ons.

Both true and this is we’re KR has to come in for criticism here. Most other SL clubs have that one/two metre making intimidating prop and consistently sign them too where as we seem to get them once every blue moon. Out last prop in that calibre was Ben Flower circa 2013. You look at the actual cost of these props and they’re minimal and cheap. We don’t need to go throwing big bucks at props (ala Burgess). I don’t see what the issue is in signing what we so desperately need?

It was clear Byrne was having a nightmare game after 10 minutes. Generally this season Lam has made some good decisions but if someone is having a shocker - even if it goes against the game plan - you have to take them off for the good of the team.

Can't understand why Bullock is only getting 5 minutes but it's probably worth remembering that when he's played longer minutes this year he's generally been very disappointing. He's only really made an impact when playing 5-10 minutes late in games. Not good enough.

Byrne has been okay so far this year but we know he's got those errors and poor decisions in him. He's not good enough to be a key prop forward for a top Super League side. That's not knocking him. It's a role that you expect experienced props to hold, not props in their early 20's that still have a lot to work on. When you consider Partington and Havard are two of our other key middles it's just blatantly obvious that we rely too much on the younger players who generally put in decent performances and we're getting very little from Singleton, Bullock and Clubb.

Meanwhile I can only assume Ben Kilner has run over Lam's cat and Mitch Clark danced on it's grave because to not give them a chance to break into a poor front row is puzzling.

I understand Clarke because he’s dreadful. It doesn’t Kilner playing kinda do your own point about young props? I do agree though that our over reliance on young props isn’t healthy and, sadly, about Byrne. Our props are just solid, the type you do need in a team but the problem is they go alongside the big metre eaters and compliment that type and vice versa

Quite possibly, but so was Clubb.

At least Clarke has put in one decent performance, albeit it was a friendly.

Neither are the answer imo, but it is what it is. We really are at the stage that a steady, experienced kinda prop would probably be our best player.

I'm watching the Cas game and both Millington and Mossop would improve us. Neither are that great, but both are better than anything we have. That's how bad of a position we are in.
