Well i guess that makes it a hat trick. Three of the usual suspects jump on a comment about us looking lacking in the prop department. I honesty don’t know why bother with this anymore.

I wasn't aware you did ... apart from those occasions on which Wigan underperform.

Come on, Dave. Stop pretending you weren't just making a silly (and, yet again, rather desperate) jab at IL.

First game of the season, coming off a massively disrupted pre-season, short of key personnel, all kinds of other issues going on, British RL teetering on the verge of disappearing, Leigh doing their usual 'as long as we beat Wigan life is worth living after all' thing etc.

We win anyway. But it wasn't a romp, so that's the end of the best chairman we've had in both our lifetimes.

What do you want, mate? Mo and Whelan back (even though both are well past it)? Sumner Baxendale? Gary Hetherington and the Yorkshire Mafia to take over (and still not win as much as we have)? How about all-mouth-and-no-results-Koukash

Ever thought about giving it a rest with your endless, pointless, bizarre, anti-IL campaign? You make yourself look a total plonker with this stuff.

Harry Smith takes loads of credit out of tonight. He had such a tough day in that Salford friendly and then he goes in to tonight and runs that fightback. We had no chance without him and I’m really pleased that he’ll walk away from tonight really confident.

I though he was poor.

Both halves were for me.

Our last tackle options were garbage for most of the night.

We need Hastings back in the team very quickly.

Powell in my opinion was easily the best player on the pitch followed by Sidlow.

Best half on the field by miles IMO. He ran the show for us second half and totally over shadowed his partner. I thought it was the best I’ve seen Harry Smith play in the first team.

Funny how people see things.

I’m a Smith fan but got to agree I thought both half’s were poor.
TL far too slow and Smith non existent in the the first 30

Just glad of a win tonight after a pretty awful first 30 minutes

Got to look at tonight with perspective - at this stage of the year it’s not about performances it’s about points on the board. We weren’t great but got the win. A lot of the lads have only played 40 mins in pre-season so that performance was expected. We’ll get players back in the coming weeks, we’ll get some momentum and when we click we’ll be one of the teams to beat

Even when we got on top I thought he failed to put us on the front foot, same as TL.

Leigh ran at him, and he struggled with the physicality they put at him.

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

Yes, there you go. I don’t think commenting we need a a big experienced prop is out of order and unless I missed it we haven’t signed a replacement for GB.

That isn't what you said though is it?

Tonight's game felt like a friendly but without the massive switcheroo of players at half time. Thankfully I missed the first 30 minutes as I was working.

And lost by a massive 2 points. We should have won, but we didn't so never mind.

You played really well and if you had taken your chances you would have won.
