"I've got one word for you Mr Chairman - Penalty Count"
I've got one word for you all......Steve Hanley
Some Salford fan said to me and I quote "You are by far and away the most Handsome & Knowledgeable Rugby League Fan in England!"

I thanked him and went on my Merry way!

RIVERCAVE DWELLER OF THE YEAR 2015!

"The club used you last night and didn't tell the truth."

Officially one of the 119 Mugs used by the club

There comes a point where you have to just take it on the chin. They won, we lost - fair play to them. I feel lucky to be a fan of a club who are regularly involved in semi-finals and finals where you can experience the emotional highs and lows that sport can provide.

I thought Tony Smith made a really good comment after the 2016 GF when he was asked about how gutted his players would be. He said there's a really easy way of avoiding that horrible feeling when you lose a final - you just don't play in them.

You can't win trophies without the risk of losing in finals - I'd much rather be in this position than a fan of a team who never get there.

NEVER be afraid to play in big games, embrace it, challenge yourselves and if you do lose dust yourself down and improve and go again.

Remember a certain poster who didn't want to play the roosters because we couldn't win etc.

As I said a couple of years ago. He just isn’t that good. His defensive positioning is one of the worst I’ve ever seen in a winger and he can’t tackle for toffee. That’s why he’s at Salford

Want went wrong with Sean Ainscough at Wigan? . He looked as promising as Tomkins when they broke though....

Ultimately wasn't good enough I suppose. I liked him and he always seems lively and looked for work. I suppose the true sign is where he ended up. We sent him out on loan, he signed for Bradford for a season and then worked his way down the leagues.

He was another one of those players at Wigan that really divided opinion. I felt he was unfairly left out of the team at points by Noble but the way his career fell away would suggest Noble knew he wasn’t quite good enough. His size didn’t help him and he had similar questions asked of him that Liam Marshall has faced over the last few seasons. Luckily for Marshall he had a coach who showed a bit more faith in him and he’s answered the questions asked of him with his performances.

You cant mention him without reference to this

https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/rugby-league/9975519/bad-blunder-costs-batley-match

Ultimately at Wigan i think it was a size thing he was a small winger, and Noble liked size in a team.

That was the most incredible thing I've seen on a rugby field. Was a fierce local Derby too...
