Things have gone further than that over there. As I say a couple of comments I’ve read on there within the last couple of months have been pretty shocking.

I’ve seen yourself get comments thrown at you without any great reasoning behind it and that’s not right. I’d love for more opposition fans to come on here and over reasonable opinion. I’m not blaming St Helens as a club for that and as I say I have a healthy respect for St Helens. It’s an independent board and therefore it seems to lose an ability to accept outsiders. We have our own version but I think they’re too busy criticising Wigan themselves to bother with opposition fans.

There’s definitely not a very warm welcome given to “outsiders” on redvee. But as I’ve mentioned previously it’s probably because we have “suffered” in the past with a couple of whoppers and now everyone is prematurely tarred with the same brush.

As I say, I can’t deny there’s some moronic venom spouted on that site. But it’s naive for anyone to think this place is much different.

I haven't seen any posts accusing someone of being a rather vile human being on here, but rogues is regularly given that 'treatment' on redvee.

Debate with other fans is great (and is why although we are the bigger rivals, I would rather discuss rugby with a Saints fan than a Wire fan because you usually can whereas a Wire fan just brings out the "wigan scum" line) but it doesn't seem to happen over there.

Do you honestly think that they are in the same quantity though?
Do you think that some of the posters comments on Red Vee should be tolerated by the mods or would be on here?

I think Red Vee and the other Wigan site are somewhat similar, and because of it is dying a death.

Saying that, some of the Wigan fans Facebook posts are horrible, I'm sure english is not their first language!!

You know what tho, if you look at it from their POV then I kinda get why they are so prickly.

I'm not condoning what they say, but no Wigan fan is going to the trouble of registering for that platform to use it in the way it was intended I.e a gathering of Saints fans to talk about the Sainrs. They aren't looking for the opinion of Wigan fans on how the ref was last night, or don't need someone going on there to say Singleton is better than X, Y or Z etc. That's not what they signed up for, or want - that's what this place is for.

I'd say, just leave them to it.

To answer your first question, probably not no. But two or three on here constantly churn out abuse towards redvee posters and Saints fans in general and nothing is said.

As for the question about it being tolerated on here, that would depend who is saying it. If it was a Wigan fan it would be ignored, if it was me I’d be banned for life.

Mate, you've probably had enough of me for one weekend but you're way off with this. You would not get away with calling someone a paedo on here, let alone several different people as a constant refrain! You mention the 6 finger inbreds comments on here. That's accepted terminology on there. It's not right in either case but saying a couple of comments on 1 thread is "the same" as the constant diatribe is like saying all crimes are the same regardless of severity or context. There is a sig on there that says I f*cking hate Wigan". Try putting that in your sig on here, see what happens.

RG has a signature calling Saints “perennial cheats.” Is that worse than saying you hate Wigan?

And I am not trying to justify anything. YET AGAIN you are twisting my words. I am not defending anything that is said on redvee at all. What I’m saying is you find lots of insults on here too. Yes people implying things about RG is wrong and worse than anything I’ve seen on here. Again I’m not defending those comments or comparing them to a specific comment on here to see which is worse. I am simply saying there are similar amounts of abuse, insults,etc on both sites.

Literally nowhere have I tried to “justify” anything. So please, if you want to keep picking me up on stuff then stick to what I’ve actually said and not what suits your agenda.

It's the equivalent of sitting in the Saints end on GF in full Wigan kit and complaining about what you get called (or worse).
