You're right actually it stopped raining before kick off. I don't think a midweek friendly in Leigh tells us anything about what the proper World Cup game attendances will be though. I've bought tickets to loads of World Cup games already but wouldn't have bothered with that Leigh game if I hadn't been within half an hour's drive on a freebie.
