A nerve issue Lam said and he’ll be working to build the area around it.

I’d say it’s doubtful if that’s true but who knows.

Got to say I didn’t even notice he had played, interesting to see if he can carry on now, I just can’t see it.

Difficult to think of a more disappointing signing.

I think its certain we cannot afford to play both lockers and Burgess in the semi final.

I would replace Burgess on the bench with lockers

First of all I feel sorry for Burgess, he's obviously trying but just can't do it and I think O'Loughlin is a legend but I wouldn't have either in the semi-final squad, it's just a complete waste of a shirt.
Harry Smith all the way for the bench spot, he can make a difference in a good way.

Not convinced Lam will or can make that kind of a call.

After last Friday's stint I can't see G Burgess playing again this season. The next one or two games are far too important to take a risk on a player in the 17.
Whether the club can get him right for 2021 remains to be seen.
I do hope so as a fit GB could be a great asset to the squad.

As long as GB is a Wigan player there will always be the "what if" argument. What if he gets fit, what if we play him and he smashes it etc. Let's not pull any punches, a healthy GB is the best prop in the league - that's a fact & that's why he'll always be gambled on.

It would be really interesting to know how Burgess feels after Friday. For me he actually looked a tiny bit better than what we'd previously seen. I'm kind of hoping that's the first small step forward.

If he still feels cr@p then, it's time to hang the boots up tho. In the last 18 months, he's probably played 10 - 15 games max. He's had an extended layoff because of his NRL ban, pre season, COVID and his injury rest.

Good shout but I can’t recall the injury, possibly a torn pectoral?? Not sure if we could of had any prior knowledge?

David Vealiki springs to mind as we knew the full extent of his injury yet still signed him as we lost out on Gasnier, meanwhile Saints get Lyon.
