Yes, he can leave for a set fee in 2020, said if he ever does leave then it will be for the NRL

Bateman signed a similar deal at his last contract extension didnt he as in at a set point he could be released to the nrl for fee?

Don't forget the RFL and the SL clubs who voted the new salary cap rukes

Great news for Wigan though and SL to hold onto one of the best players in SL, so good to watch him play (Although not against Hull), the deal allows him to keep developing and if he continues to improve move to the NRL at the end of his deal (as doubt NRL clubs will pay the fee required, after paying over the odds for SL players in the past)
