"Games as big as a grand finals define individuals and clubs. Remember we are only renting these shirts, I had my time in Pat Richards shirt. Ellery and Faz had there time in Sean's, Hampo and Radders in Sam's. You have to make a mark in these shirts that's still there the day you hand it over to someone else. So be aware for 80 minutes you are not only playing but also writing history and creating a legacy. How many people get to actually write history, not many. A big stage demands big players, be inspired. You play for Wigan, now go do it. Good luck." - Martin Offiah, 2010.
Pray to god we don’t sign Chris Hill. Can’t stand his grub tactics and he’ll be another penalty machine alongside other hot heads like Smithies Partington etc (I like those two by the way)
Singleton is doing nothing differently to what he was at the back end of last season for me. The stats say he’s doing no differently but he was a fresh face last season and his energy, aggression and general manner of getting in to the scrap lifter everyone. He has a role in this side IMO, especially with so many young forwards around him but if you have a player of his type starting and then a similar player in Partington, you need a couple of props to bash out the metres. Havard is doing his best and Byrne is playing well but Bullock hasn’t had a good season so far and has been under used. To say the prop department needs an overhaul in the off season would be a huge understatement. I felt we needed two even with Bullock here and that’s probably three now.
Spot on. He makes a few tackles but his ball in hand stats are poor. I didn't understand the love in last year now he's being slated for doing the same
If Clark can show the same attitude week in week out I'd keep him too. Glad to see him on at Leigh . Can't have been easy for him not getting picked. Great attitude to work his way back in. Keep it up Mitch!!

His attitude and personality seemed to lift the playing group last year and I do see a role for him here, as long as the props alongside him bring a balance but if people are hoping he’ll suddenly start knocking out 120-150 metres plus each week, then they’re in for a let down. Everyone loved his performance in that win at Saints at the end of last season. He made 33 metres! That both proves stats aren’t everything but also that he was doing nothing differently in regards his attack, even when people were praising him.
By all accounts Bullock is signing for Wire next year.
I can’t say I’m against that to be honest but with Clubb and Clark also likely to be going we hopefully have a few irons in the fire in relation to recruitment up front for 22.
Looks to me like they are getting rid of our ‘deadwood’ pack and giving it a new look + the young lads, which is what is needed. Hopefully we make the right signings this time.

I think if 3 go we probably need 3 props to come in.
That’s a lot of players to recruit in an area where good ones are not ten a penny.
From what I’m hearing in relation to how well his recovery is going I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see George Burgess back at Wigan next year on a more manageable wage low risk wage.
Where the other 2 come from I’m not so sure at this stage.

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.
