The MEN reporting that Amir B is leaving at the end of the season. More important than ever to give O'Neill some game time.

Why did O'Neill not play on Wednesday then? There seems little logic with Lam's selections.

Shame that, I’d like to see him for another 12 months. Was impressed in the Huddersfield game

If O'Neil had been in the squad at Wire he'd have only played 5 mins as Bourough did.
Lam's selection and use of subs just doesn't make any sense.

Shame about Borough but makes sense given how well O'Neill has done and the fact we have Roden coming through. Borough wasn't even being used every week by Fax when on loan. I think hooker is going back to being an 80 minute position too which obviously limits opportunities.

The last young player I can recall feeling as disappointed about us letting go without giving a proper go to was Liam Marshall and we managed to find the room to keep him on. I hope we do the same with Amir Bourouh. It’s not that I’m convinced he’ll be a top player but I’m convinced he’s not had enough chances to show that he could be. He was a huge threat in the 19’s teams and he offers something different to what Powell brings or even what O’Neill brings. I’d like all three on the books.

Impressed by Bourouh against Leigh. He is playing like a man with something to prove. I wonder if he is trying to impress someone in particular? It seems strange that we cannot find space for him and O'Neil unless we are trying to free up space on the cap.

More than like that both players are trying to impress the powers that be at the club in order to be retained at the end of the season and the swapping and changing is not all to do with the Coach.

The way I see it, one will be released as it is very unlikely that the club will get rid of Powell and there could be another outstanding young hooker/dummy half in the Academy pipeline.

He’ll get picked up without a doubt. I know as a club we can’t keep everyone but when we’ve not had a hooker who will get out and test defences by running at them in so long, I’d have liked to see the lad given another year at least. Brad O’Neill looks a top prospect as well but is more similar to Powell in style and having that balance that a running hooker brings would be ideal.

We don't need 4 hookers
