I think we can carry three, especially when two are young and would be on low salaries. Also Brad O’Neill player as much (and probably more) at loose forward as he did at hooker in the juniors. It isn’t a case that Bourouh is a cast iron certainty to be a good player for us but it just feels like it’s a bit early to be cutting our losses.
Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Most idiotic post ever goes to Grimmy..... The way to restart should be an arm wrestle between a designated player from each side.

The young lad that's gone on loan to Widnes is it Rodden

Aye, forgot about him. I’m not sure on his contract status for 2022. Maybe he’s under contract and that’s forced their hand a little, as he does seem to be behind the others in the pecking order.
We will have the reserves I suppose, so maybe they can find the room to keep Bourouh. I’d like to think they could.

Maybe they feel like they have seen enough of Bourouh to know they don't want him, whereas Roden is only just about to get his chance at first team level. Alternatively maybe Bourouh would rather play most weeks at a mid-low end Championship club rather than battle with O'Neill just to back up Sam Powell here. It's not like Powell is about to retire or go to the NRL. I think I mentioned earlier in the thread that Fax weren't always picking Bourouh when he was there, which isn't a great sign for him.

The report saying he’s leaving mentions him having two superleague clubs ready with offers. We’ll just have to trust the club to make the right call but I think we’re seeing glimpses now of real talent. It may just be the fact he’s different to what we’re used to that is making him stand out but I’d personally love to see him stay for another season. You can’t keep them all I suppose, so as ever we’ll prop up some other clubs.
O'Neill really impressed at Widnes and is already able to produce Championship level game changing performances. He can pick a long pass and run from dummy half. I can see why he is now second in the pecking order.
Hearing Tommy L is out for the season. Hopefully get a few bodies back next week or two
If that’s true I think questions need to be asked of the conditioning staff. We’re about 10 weeks off the end of the season, so that’ll be one guy with a hamstring done for ten weeks +, after we lost two for about five months each. I can’t remember the last time we lost somebody with a hamstring injury for more than 4-6 weeks, so to lose three with long term injuries seems extremely unusual. I usually just think an injury crisis is simply bad luck but when you can’t think of many hamstring injuries of this severity in 30+ years watching the game, 3 in a few months sets alarm bells ringing. Much like French at Salford, Leuluai clearly couldn’t have been right to be strapped up like that from the off, Lam also mentioned Gildart felt something the day before the Leigh game but was still going to play, only to feel it again in the warm up. You have to question why he was going to be playing if he wasn’t right the day before?
