Leigh have guys like Jack Hughes and Robbie Mulhern to announce as well.

Plenty of business to be done/announced across the league yet.

Wigan were very close to signing McDonald in 2020. It was only his "off field" issues that were red flags and in the end Wigan pulled out of a deal. He is a handful though, very hard to put down.

If an overseas player has been registered for an English amateur club when he was a kid can he be taken off quota?

no widdop is on the quota and he is english and played amateur rugby here
