Now then, just a bit of fun to lighten this board up as its all doom and gloom these days.

Pick a squad of 17 who you would consider to be the strongest team you would like to see in Wigans colours next season.

However the team must only contain players currently playing in Super League, and you must also have at least 5 current Wigan players in there. Just something that would create abit of a discussion on the board really.

Remember, big names dont always mean good teams, just ask Warrington.

Webb/Hodgson are just the best fullbacks, I wouldn't take Greenshields without Bosc, who just missed out. Ainscough+Gidley would make so many tries, as would Richards+Carmont as we saw last year. Tomkins would continue to develop with Pryce coming on as an impact stand off/cover for all of the backs. Dobson is just the best SH in SL by a Long ( ) shot. Peacock, Feka, Hock, Lauitiiti, Burgess, Puletua and Elima would annihilate any pack imo, and Westerman is a great young player for the future... communism

Amazes me how over rated Solomona is.

I wouldn't have him over any of our back rowers in the current squad.

Now before i'm strung up for suggesting Long...I think Sam could learn a hell of alot playing a year or two with him, Even if he is the Anti-Christ as far as we're concerned.

Would honestly only take 6/7 improvements IMO to have by far the best squad in SL, which for me shows how near yet how far we are off.

For me it sums it up that the majority of our backs i wouldnt actually replace given the choice of the whole of super league, save for bringing back Dobson and Briscoe, and having shenton share the other centre birth with carmont for the next couple of seasons as carmont warmed down to retirement.

Shows for me the problems we have are with the coach and our forwards
