Carvell was OOC wasn't he. Wire didn't pay anything for him.
Bird didn't have a club, neither did Carney as they both had been sacked.
Richard Moore would be one possibly.
Still can't believe Wigan would go for McGoldrick.
Would not surprise me if we took a swing at a Bradford forward like Lynch, a reasonable fee prior to his final year under his current contract might have been offered.
IL & BN know we need props and that's why I think it would be in that area.
The reason for Gleeson signing is that if a quality player is available, try and buy him. This time IL & BN have been successful.
Well done to both of them.
The six figure fee scuppers the idea that Ian Lenagan is tight.
Unlike the previous regime, IL pays average money for average players and big money for quality players.

Stupid if they did. There is no international transfer fee system any more. Players either get released early or come to the end of their contracts with their Aussie clubs then join a SL side. No club has paid a transfer fee for an Aussie player for decades. Barrets club paid us to take him (by paying part of his wages in his first season)!

he did indeed, was about sign for us before he resigned for hull, then said he wanted out, hull rightly said it'll cost ya. Saints said no way as we nearly had him for free. Warrington paid in the region of £50k for him
