I seem to remember Nobby discussing the potential for Roberts to play at 6.

Now before you start this is not something I'm for or against, I'm just interested in the general opinions of my fellow minded Wigan fans...

We have one of the best junior halfbacks in world rugby league crying out for a chance to play first team in the number 6 position..............he should get first dibs on the spot before Roberts.

As for Roberts playing at 6 that should only happen if 2 of Smith, Leuluai and Tomkins are out injured.

Given how garbage Riddell is I would go for TL the full 80 at hooker and start Sam at 6 and see how he goes. If we have to change it during the game we have Roberts, Mathers and Lockers to consider.

Of course, this won't happen. He will have the courage to stay with Ainscough and will play either Pat or Amos at FB. Riddell will start then rotate with tL moving from HB to hooker and Lockers to s/o. Same as usual.

Lockers would play 6 before him.

I get the general feel this is the most preferred team.

Smith to start at 6. Tomkins off the bench has to be the way to go in my opinion, with TL moving to hooker, to spell Riddell and Tomkins coming onto the field at either 6 or 7 unless......

Riddell is still clearly not fit and if it has not improved for the Quins game, TL to hooker from the start, Smith to 7 Tomkins to start at 6.

Playing an unfit Riddell is pointless as he is losing any zip that he has, he may as well rest him till fully fit it will benefit the team much more this season.

Not keen on several positions being moved around for 1 sub.

Me neither but that's what I think will happen. Re your team put Bailey in the centres and drop Riddell completely and you have a winner IMO.
