SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

Having had a while to think about it i would like to see the following team.

Richards
Amos
Goulding
Carmont
Ainscough
Smith
TL
Fielden
McIllorum
O'Carroll
Hansen
Locky
Tomkins

Feka
Prescott
Hock
Tomkins

Richards has to start at 1 until Amos gets more games under his belt.

Wing centre partnerships os Roberts and Goulding with Carmont and Aiscough over the otherside enable us to ensure we have an experienced player in either partnership.

Halves pick themselves.

Props. I think we need to ensure that Feka and O'Carroll are not on the pitch at the same time, we need to compliment there style with a more traditional workman like Prop. I think we lose a little of this graft when Feka and O'Carroll are on the pitch at the same time.

McIllorum-even if Riddell is passed "fit" he is clearly not 100%, if it is an ankle injury this is going to hinder the mobility of someone carrying his weight and his stature, ground contact and power transfer to the floor from the body is crucial for an explosive option from dummy half, the ankle is one of the key joints involved in this transfer and needs to be 100%, especially when you consider the strain it is under with his weight. A week off and some good physio and cardio work should see him back and ready to take on Quins somewhere near 100%.

Backrow, Bailey is not worth a spot 100% never mind carrying a knock, Hansen and Locky to second row to take the sting off what will be a half decent Cas pack, Hock to come on for impact. Tomkins to have a free role at 13.

Finally Tomkins on the bench to enable McIllorum to be spelled and allow TL to move to "impact" hooker at around the half hour mark depending on the flow of the game.

Never going to happen but it is something i would like to see.

Fully agree with that.

I expect Coley will be back involved this week and Tomkins or Ainscough will not be in the 17.

Conroy - Being a Latics fan i'm already immune to watching sh*te.

Sally Cinnamon - Treat the Saints forum as you would if you met a girl from St Helens. Best policy would be to avoid altogether but if you absolutely can't resist temptation then take every possible precaution.

Disagree - Can't drop Ainscough or Tomkins for the reasons in Jonh's posts.

I too expect Coley back with Prescott dropping to the bench. Noble-mentality.

Pyrce could feature on Friday, according to Noble. I would much rather see Ainscough however. :(

A fit-again Pryce would certainly give Noble extra options with Mark Riddell, Cameron Phelps, Phil Bailey and Pat Richards all doubtful for Friday's home date with Castleford Tigers.

It sort of implies it.
