I like the principle of "feeder clubs" and believe that all SL clubs should have a deal with a championship side and can move players freely between the two clubs . The championship benefits from having a bigger talent pool and SL benfits from young players getting experience against older more seasoned oposition. The academy like SL is dominated by a few clubs and decent players are having their development hammpered by the competition offered by the age group competition.

If Wigan are to be running a "feeder team" then one in Wales could offer opportunites to both parties. It would also make some sense of the rumours surrounding the involvement of Thomas and Harris.

Or we could be faced with the fact that Wigan have signed a 37 year old player.

According to League Express, Dave Clark will be involved in running that club in a coaching & development way, after the work he did at Wigan, in between various spells at Barrow.

Seems something between us & scorpions isn't totally crazy!

If IL is going to buy a championship 1 club as a feeder why not go to Cumbria? Barrow could do with a new owner (!) and it is a heartland of the game which we neglect quite badly and already seems a fertile ground for Wigan's recruitment with the likes of Mossop in the first team and several young Cumbrian players recently signed up.

I think RL is banging its head against a brick wall if it thinks it can be a big deal in South Wales.

Scott moore has signed a 3 year contract with Widnes. Apprently several other clubs were interested. We have seriously lacked a replacement fro Riddell this year. Would definatly have been worth a shot imo.

I thought so earlier in the year but got told his discipline was poor and his defence not much better. Ive watched him closely since and can say I was wrong and people who told me that right.

Penalty machine and poor defence.

McIlorum is better.

If people moan that McIlorum isn't a hooker then Moore definitely isnt. Decent enough backrower but not a player we need a Wigan imo.

Not a chance for me, just because several other clubs was interested doesn't mean we should of been. I think he was lucky to be retained by Saints in the first place and know many Saints fans feel the same, they'd have prefered to of kept Matty Smith than Scott Moore if having the choice.

I can understand Widnes signing Clarke or Moore but not both of them to similar not very quick from dummy half and not big enough for running back rowers. Moore did put in a decent tackling stint in the GF but as others have posted he does give away penalties

I was thinking the same. First ive heard of anything like this? Unless people are just trying to make an excuse for signing Thomas
