You’re right but you’re not one of em!

As I said, he did a decent job covering for MM but IN MY OPINION he should not be our 1st choice 9. Now go back to inventing rumours!!

With Newcastle Knights signing Pearce, does that mean they don't need Hodkinson?

Your right on that one, but i never claimed i was, just don't think MM would be as big a loss a some on here and elsewhere think he is going to be, 2016 proves this imo

I do think we could stand his loss for next season but my comments were in relation to 2019 if TL retires. The loss of MM isn’t what I disputed but more the fact I don’t think Powell is good enough to be our 1st choice 9 in the long term. You seem to think he is which is fine by me, I just don’t agree.

Manly are likely in for him to replace Blake Green who they released to try & get Pearce.

he wasnt our first choice, he was playing due to our first choice being injured.

How have The Knights managed to sign Pearce. It's baffling the NRL for stuff like that but also makes it very interesting. Pearce is a class act and Newcastle finish bottom every season. The last time they won the coin toss they did a lap of honour!

On the subject of Mickey Mac. I could see this rumour having legs. Canberra have no Hodgson and him and MM are quite similar. MM has the aggression the NRL requires and i could see him putting it about over there because he would most certainly be a target. He isn't a Hollywood player, but Canberra don't play Hollywood rugby especially from the no.9 position. He has been a great servant to the club and would go with my best wishes but i think the time is right for both parties. He needs a fresh start and we need new ideas from hooker.
