Barrett made him look good back end of 08.

After his finish to 08 I was really looking forward to see how he progressed in 09 but he just got worse. Did have the odd good game (leeds at home) but overall he was a penalty machine (always does dumb stuff like crossing), fair too many knock ons and was lazy in defence alot of the time.

Thank god for him he came through the acadamy or else most fans would be on his back wanting him gone.

Yes because at 22 he cant get any better can he ?

Sums up whats been wrong with this club the last 10 years,,this kind of attitude

Played his first "first team" game in 2006 and played plenty since,,,Lee Mossop has only played a handful of games, but has out performed Joel Tomkins in near enough all of them, yet Joel kept getting the start.

Obviously depending on pre season performances but going off last seasons form thats what I'd have

I wouldn't mind seeing Joel get a few games at centre. He's a big lad but is pretty rapid and he'd cause all sorts of problems out there.

I know Cameron Smith said McGuire was responsible for changing a couple of players positions like Cooper Cronk from a 9 to a 7 and he may look at a couple of options here.

What has mossop done in his 6/7 games to suggest he's a better player than Joel?

Has he been Wigans top try scorer?
Has he come runner up in the young player of the year award?
Has mossop got a try for the first team that made u think this guy is special?

Joel HAS done all the above----Mossop hasn't

Mossop is a talent but so far he's not done as well at first grade level as Joel

Going off the game where both Mossop and Joel played at the back end of last year, Mossop, Hansen and even Flanagan outperformed Joel in most games.

We need a big improvement from him next year, because he has shown potential, we need him to play well to soften the blow of losing Hock.
