Its always good to remember level of the teams many of these talented youngsters are playing in. It can’t be easy for the likes of Westerman, Shenton or LMS getting hammered week in week out and then having the fans on their backs blaming them.

As good as they are and as important to their teams as they are they shouldn’t be senior players in the squad as they don’t have the experience you need for that.

Use Sam and Joel as a comparison both are top players for us but I wouldn’t be expecting them to dictate the atmosphere in the Wigan dressing room. That’s for Lockers, Coley, Fielden etc to do. Players at that age need experienced guys around them to keep their feet on the ground and set an example.

He's only 20 now and will be 22 when Gleeson leaves.

Still plenty of time and opps at Wigan for the kid.

A full season loan to a championship club and then a shot at SL with say Widnes on loan when they return to SL could be on the cards?

Lets not be to hasty to bring everyone in at once.

He's being a fool with his attitude.

Although i did mention above that he shouldn't have the responsibility of senior player I doesn’t also take a brain surgeon, or even a pro RL player, to realise that he’s only hurting his own chances.

What he should do is take stock of what he’s done and even if he’s got issues with the Cas management team bite his tongue, train the house, down show some form and then ask for release. Don’t do it now as no one good will have the money and there are some serious doubts about his attitude.

He really needs to realise that he’s stagnated since his YOP award and although a semi big club like Wire or Bradford might want him the big move to Leeds he really wants is based on him being an adult and showing some good form.

I guess it depends on what a club needs and what sort of manager they have.

I'm sure a person like Kear with little to work with and a history of getting players with a poor attitude to pull together would consider it.

But on the other side of the coin a coach like Madge with a player like Lockers at 13 and a wealth of hungry talent comming through wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.

That’s the thing I tried to point out in my earlier post. Westerman is on course for a career at clubs like Wakey & Cas rather than Wigan and Leeds unless he sorts his head out. Talent only takes a player so far.
