Interesting though, that a mere rumour - which few Wigan fans are taking seriously - has brought all these Wire prats out of the woodwork. Most rumours on here are ignored by fans of the clubs concerned. Funny how this one isn't being. Maybe there is something in it after all?

Everyone has their price, of course they do. That's what I meant when I said 'Gleeson type' - good fee bearing in mind his age, form and contract length and, although it's early days, Mathers has been very good for us on balance. I've not been terribly impressed with what I've seen of Gleese in a Wigan shirt but I'm sure he'll turn out to be an excellent addition to your team.

I would be surprised if we sold Adrian Morley to Wigan and sstounded if we released him to make cap room for Myler.

As for 'wire prats coming out of the woodwork' to talk about this rumour somehow being an indicator that it might be true; I have no contacts at all, whether I post 100 times about it or not doesn't mean it's more or less likely to happen. Although to be fair that's obvious to anyone with a brain.

There's a press conference every Thursday, usually at 12.30.
Doubt putting it back an hour means there's going to be an announcement of a signing.

The sad thing is, with threads like this, any idiot can come on and pretend they know something and if anybody tries to diss them, they just come out with the 'well, my guess is as good as yours' line...

What if I come on here and tell you that I know for certain that young Sam Tompkins wants to join Wire, because he wants to join a club with ambition and a decent coach, and most importantly, a club with its own ground...

most people seem to say its doubtful, but would be nice if true.
