I spoke to one of the guys at the club today when queing up to see Madge and he said he will achieve everything he needs to in superleague the GF and CC so he will have nothing to come back for.

He has a young family and IMO he won't up sticks until they have all left school, Maybe after that... but I doubt it. Why have Cava when you can have champagne.. by this I mean coaching in the NRL compared to here.

England coach at some point? Defo Australian national coach.

From what Rads has said I think he could be the best coach Wigan have ever had.

Challenge cup, League leaders and Super league champions would no doubt change your mind.

I have seen the rugby we played under Lowe but I just think we are better drilled and better coached now IMO. That team had star players who played well together. Madge has a team with some players who used to be very average and has taken them to the top. Everyone knows their roles in this team, THATS why we didn't notice we were missing 4 top players on friday night.

I just hope he doesn't steal our players or coaches over time though. Could the like of Tomkins, Lockers, Mossop, Leuluai, Charnley etc. turn down a big NRL deal when the cap goes up? Could Bitcon, Wane, Rads etc. turn down more money and living in the sun? I don't think all of them would turn that down.

Anyway, back to the topic, we are taking a few. 30k+ easily. It will be a great day, especially for the older generation who have waited for Wigan to return and also for the younger generation who have never seen Wigan win at Wembley. This includes myself, I was too young in 95 and we lost in 98 when I did go.

I wouldn't worry about that part of it too much. I'm pretty sure they already have good assistants, conditioners and team-managers in the NRL.

He may take a couple of players over time, but not the backroom boys. That would be like saying "Wigan have got it right and here in Aus we haven't".

Fair point.

Bitcon seems to be on the same wave length as Madge. The way Madge talks about him, it is like he shares that drive for success and a similar work ethic.

I'm pretty sure they will have similar folk at the NRL clubs anyway though you are right.

Wigan have got it right though, I know it is not as likely as some players leaving but you never know.

I want to wear the 89 away shirt but I don't want to be the only person not wearing cherry and white. Will I get told off for wearing blue and white?
