"I've got one word for you Mr Chairman - Penalty Count"
I've got one word for you all......Steve Hanley
Some Salford fan said to me and I quote "You are by far and away the most Handsome & Knowledgeable Rugby League Fan in England!"

I thanked him and went on my Merry way!

RIVERCAVE DWELLER OF THE YEAR 2015!

Now that backline was superb too. For me Henry Paul was playing better in 95 than Lydon was in 92, but.... the Gregory/Edwards partnership was better than Botica/Edwards... but the 92 team didn't have the Robinson on the wing... but then again big Gene was unbelievable in the second half of the 92 season. It's a toughie!

Here's another challenge for John D H - can he come up with a better centre/wing pairing for Saints or Leeds than Miles/Offiah? (We could be waiting for a Wire league and cup double!!! )

Can he come up with a better centre/wing combo for any club?

Another line-up better than anything Stains or Leeds can offer! :thumb:

Or maybe John D H's research will turn something up before Wire do the double...

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

Frightening isn't it.

However the Super Duper League is far more competitive.

May be showing my age here, but i can honestly say i have never heard of any of those players!

Not saying they wernt good, just pointing out how subjective this is!

For example.

I was on a stag do this weekend, and the conversation turned to greatest ever 13 after the hull game friday. We warriors fans being knowledgable, had the greats Miles meninga in the centres Pearl at loose and lewis at 6 etc.

A muppet of a castleford fan who was at least 40 started with Wellens at full back!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was quickly shunned and made to drink lots and lots of Fernabranca (sp) never to be seen again!

No it isn't. Unless by "competitive" you mean that standards are falling alarmingly.

Competitivness and standards are two different thinngs..

Now, more than one team has a chance of winning the comp, 15 years ago that was not the case. Hence the league is more competitive now.
