How many forwards do we need? Isn't the priority a centre who can put a winger away and (in the short term, to cover Manfredi) a winger who can carry the ball out of defence?

I will start the conjecture off.

3rd choice as a winger would be Tom Johnstone of Wakefield, very raw but an incredible talent
2nd choice as a winger or fullback Donny Solomona of Castleford, he looks to be a superb player.
3rd choice Josh Charnley, the way he has played recently does not look like a player who is leaving, I just hope he has had a change of heart and Wigan could negotiate his resigning. Pie in the sky I know but I think Josh who was always made the scapegoat when things were going wrong (one of the few players who was publically criticised by the coach on a regular basis ) and that was why he thought it was time to move on.

Going off what Lenagan has said about keeping an eye on who gets relegated, possibly Carney/Caton-Brown?

Edit: never mind, Caton-Brown has gone to Wakey hasn't he.
