Sometimes we get carried away and forget that RL is only a game... something like this puts it in perspective and we should appreciate the work all players, no matter who they are, put in for our entertainment.

It's also good to see the RFL doing the right thing with a minutes silence before all games this weekend

Just joined the group on fbook. Such a tragedy he seemed like a top lad!!

Just heard on Boots'n'All that the JJB gates will be shut prior to the minutes silence.

Thanks to the Wigan club - a lovely gesture - much appreciated by the Wakey fans.

I would hope all superleague clubs would do this and also hold a collection to be given to his family to use as they wish its a very sad day when something like this happens

I have emailed the club to enquire whether a bucket collection could be organised in the ground tomorrow. I think it will depend whether there is a lottery licence in place to allow collections.

I am sure that if the club agrees then enough volunteers could be found to do the collection.
